For some people, studying music is soley for people who want to consider it as an occupation. After all, unless it absolutely required, what would accountant do with a few units in Music Theory? In taking up voicetraining, how would an ordinary housewife make use of it? It’s not as if singing success has something to do with housechore or taking care of the family’s needs. Then why learn music at all?
First of all, the study of music results in deeper approval of music itself. The appreciation of music as some skeptics may be surprised to hear, can develop not only mental health but also brings many benefits to one’s physical health. Studies can tell that music appreciation can lower the risk of high blood pressure and stroke. It limits stress which, in itself, already causes numerous of health problems. Music appreciation keeps a person energized mentally and physically, it helps you sleep better and reduce muscle stress. Music appreciation not just improves a person’s sleeping habits and relieve muscle stress, it also adds to people mentally and physically. In keeping yourself in good physical condition, a key factor to that is making music a part of your life as some people now know. Steve Krenz from Learn and Master Guitar is living proof of this.
Other forms of intelligence is greatly improved by the study of music secondly. College students who enrolled in a few units of music tend to stay in school longer than those who take up units that are just related to their field of study has been proven by studies.Research has shown that college students who take up a few units of music tend to stay in school longer than those who take up units that are purely related to their field of study. There appears to be a connection between music and spatial intelligence which is the ability tocreate mental pictures. It is said that studying music helps its students control their thoughts more coherently. The language and reasoning part of the brain is said to be improved by learning music.
Third, studying music can actually expand your possibilities. The diverse language of music would no doubt help you understand and appreciate other cultures if you study music.
Another reason is that studying music will help develop your perseverance and passion for excellence. When dealing with music, there’s rarely a gray area involving the notes; it is either you’re in tune or not. Studying music compels you to be more attentive to details and have a
passion for learning what style works out for you and what doesn’t.
The study of music can be an opportunity to individual’s self-discovery.
And of course, this is a fantastic means for self-expression. Having to learn a positive means of self-expression will sooner or later help you build your self-esteem. People who were once painfully reserved can become more confident by finding a self-expression that they are good at. Housewives can do something out of their habit such as doing household chores
and taking their kids to schoo. Music is a great way having to express yourself while at the same
time enjoying and benefiting from the progression.
The course of music is nevercould not be too late or early. Whether you want to learn how to play an instrument so you can make an impression to your friends by playing your favorite song, or whether you want to make your occupation, it’s a good thing to start studying music. Find the kind of music that you want to learn and give it a go.
